ClashMob FAQ

What is ClashMob?

ClashMob is a new gameplay feature exclusive to Infinity Blade II. Players from around the globe participate in massively social global challenges, fighting together to defeat new enemies, complete unique challenges, and win rewards.

Do you need to have a Facebook account to participate in ClashMobs?

Yes. When you first attempt to access the ClashMob menu, you'll be prompted to login with your Facebook account. Facebook provides the social framework for the basic ClashMob features and also the infrastructure for some of the cool stuff we've got planned for future updates. Infinity Blade will not make any posts to your feed without your permission.

How much does the ClashMob update cost?

Nothing!  If you own Infinity Blade II, ClashMob is a free update to the game. New ClashMobs will continue to appear at no cost to the player.

Will there be additional ClashMob content added in the future?

Yes, we will continue to update and modify ClashMob in future updates. To our knowledge, nothing like this has been done on this large of a scale before. We're excited to debut the ClashMob feature while still in beta so we can continue to make adjustments based on player responses and to add more of the type of content they enjoy most.

Do I get to use my main single-player character in ClashMob?

Definitely! The higher your character level, and the better your gear, the more you can accomplish and contribute to the global Mob!

How do I get my rewards in ClashMob?

Once you have played a ClashMob, the rewards will become available if and when the ClashMob ends successfully. Once the ClashMob ends, you can claim your prize in the ClashMob in-game menu. Encourage others to play more ClashMobs to help your chances of success!

How often can I play ClashMob?

There will usually be several ClashMobs active at any one time - some for a few hours, others for several days. You will get a chance to play each ClashMob once, with the option to win or earn bonus plays. New ClashMobs will appear frequently throughout each week. You can also set your game to remind you of pending ClashMobs as they become active.

What is MyMob?

MyMob allows you to see your Facebook and Game Center friends who are also playing Infinity Blade II. The more players you have in MyMob, the more perks and rewards you earn as you play!

How can I get other players to join MyMob?

Through the ClashMob interface in Infinity Blade II, you can recruit people to MyMob through Facebook, Twitter, iMessage, or email, or by adding them to your Game Center friends list.

Will ClashMob automatically post messages to my Facebook page (or friends pages), or my Twitter account?

Never! The only messages that are ever sent must be initiated by you, and only for the purposes of helping you recruit to MyMob or to get help for your current ClashMobs. See Epic’s privacy policy for more details.

Which iOS version is required to play Infinity Blade II?

It’s HIGHLY recommended that you update your device to the latest version of the iOS (operating system) for best results - you can update your iOS for free by connecting your device to a computer with iTunes installed, or by visiting your local Apple Store (or mobile retailer which provides your mobile service).  Minimum requirements are:

  • Infinity Blade II requires iOS 4.0 or later installed in order to run.
  • Game Center features require iOS 4.1 for iPhone or iPod Touch, 4.2 for iPad.
  • iCloud features require iOS 5.0 or later to run.

What languages/countries is Infinity Blade available in?

Infinity Blade II can be downloaded in nearly every country the iTunes Store is available in. The game is translated into English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Russian, Swedish, Dutch, Portuguese, and Brazilian Portuguese - simply reset your iOS device to any of those languages to play in that language.

Does Infinity Blade II work with iCloud? How does it work?

If you have iOS 5.0 or later installed, and iCloud set up, your Infinity Blade II game saves will automatically be saved online each time you play (while connected online).  iCloud will also allow you to share save files between iOS devices which are set up use the same iCloud account.  For information about how to set up a free iCloud account, see Apple’s iCloud Support page.

How do I see my Achievements and Leaderboard rankings?

You need to have an active Game Center account, and your iOS device must be running iOS 4.1 or later (4.2 for iPad). There are two ways to see Leaderboards and Achievements:

  • In the pause menu, touch the Game Center icon, then pick Leaderboards or Achievements.
  • Or you can choose Game Center from the iTunes home screen, select “Games”, and choose Infinity Blade II from the list.

I’m running iOS 4.1, and Game Center doesn’t seem to connect. How do I connect online?

If your battery has run all the way down, it might have reset your date and time, which can prevent Game Center from connecting to your iOS device correctly.  Re-set your iOS device’s date and time to the correct settings, and then try to re-connect to Game Center.  (You can also re-set the date/time to the network by going to Settings -> General -> Date & Time then toggle "Set Automatically" off and back on.)  It’s HIGHLY recommended that you update your device to the latest version of the latest iOS version (operating system) for best results.

I was playing Infinity Blade II and the game became unresponsive, or shut down and returned me to the Home screen.

It’s HIGHLY recommended that you update your device to the latest version of the iOS (operating system) for best results.  In the rare case that something hangs up or freezes, exit Infinity Blade II and shut down the application from the Home screen of your iOS device. Restart the app by touching the Infinity Blade II Icon. If you still experience performance or shut down issues, it may be time to power down your device and restart it to clear out your memory of applications running in the background.

I shut down the game by pressing the home button, but every time I start it back up, it’s in the same spot. Sometimes the game seems to be moving slowly when I come back to it.

With iOS 4.0 and above, most iOS devices now multitask, so when you close the game by pressing the home button, it’s often still running in the background.  Double tap the home button, and you will see a scrolling list of applications that are running in the background on your device.  Hold down one of them and you’ll see a red X next to each that will allow you to shut down any of the applications still running.  You can also shut down Infinity Blade II and re-start it if you are experiencing slowdowns.  It’s recommended that you don’t run anything else in the background when playing Infinity Blade II.  It’s also recommended that you update your iOS to the latest version available.

There is a new Infinity Blade II update available – how do I get it, and what should I do to make sure it installs correctly?

Infinity Blade II offers updates on iTunes, which are free to download and install if you have already purchased the game.  It’s recommended that you shut down Infinity Blade II in the background before downloading and installing any update – double click the home button, then press and hold on the IB icon until the “-“ sign appears, then press again to shut down IB.  Also, check to make sure you have enough memory for the game by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and looking at the memory bar – if there is less than 1 GB free, you should delete some other content on the device prior to downloading any updates to Infinity Blade II. It’s recommended that you shut off your iOS device and re-start before playing.

After I updated Infinity Blade II, the game now shuts down when I try to load it. What can I do to fix this?

If your recently-updated game is not loading, try these recommended steps, in order, until your game starts functioning again. WARNING: Deleting the App and re-installing is last resort, and will delete your game’s save file unless you first back up your iOS device phone on your computer through iTunes, or you are using iCloud.

  1. Double click the home button, then press and hold on the Infinity Blade icon until the “-“ sign appears, then press again to shut down Infinity Blade II – then re-start Infinity Blade II.
  2. Shut down all other Apps running in the background, including Infinity Blade II, then re-start Infinity Blade.
  3. Shut down and re-start your iOS device, then re-start Infinity Blade II.
  4. Press and hold the Infinity Blade icon on the main menu, until the “X” sign appears, then press it again to delete Infinity Blade, confirm, then re-install Infinity Blade from the App Store or from iTunes on your computer - WARNING: this will delete your game’s save file unless you first back up your iOS device to iTunes, or you are using iCloud.

I really want to play with a particular weapon, shield, gem, or other item in the game, but I don’t want to spend the time earning it – what can I do?

We’ve added the ability to purchase gold (to buy items in the game) through the game using the in-App purchase feature in iTunes.  You can purchase gold 2 ways:

  1. Attempt to buy an item in the in-game store that you don’t have enough gold for, and the game will offer an in-App gold purchase of an amount sufficient to cover this item
  2. Or, scroll down to the bottom of the in-game store, and you will see gold bags in the following denominations – tap on them and you will be offered an in-App gold purchase

Gold bags can be purchased in the following denominations:

  • 25,000 Gold - $.99 USD (or equivalent whichever country’s currency you are accessing iTunes from)
  • 150,000 Gold - $4.99 USD
  • 750,000 Gold - $19.99 USD
  • 2,500,000 Gold - $49.99 USD

Once you buy a gold bag, it is added to your in-game currency.  Please note that gold bags are non-refundable.  Also, if you delete your game from your iOS device, make sure you back up your save file (see below), or use iCloud saves, otherwise you will lose your inventory if you re-install it. Make sure you back up your save file to iTunes (see below).

How can I turn off In-App Purchases?

You can disable In-App purchases on your iOS device (and set a password to prevent them from being re-activated) through the Settings > General > Restrictions – scroll down to Allowed Content, and turn off “In-App Purchases”.  See Apple’s support site for more information about Restrictions and Parental Controls at on this page at Apple.com.

I’m having a problem with my game, and I need to re-install it, but I don’t want to lose my save game or inventory – how do I do that?

The best way to maintain your save data is by using iCloud.  If you don’t have iCloud set up, then you can back up your Infinity Blade II save game in iTunes, remove the app from your iOS device, and then reload the game without losing your save file.  Here’s how:

  • Plug your iOS device into your computer.
  • Open iTunes on the computer.
  • Right click the device in iTunes to bring up a sub menu.
  • Select the Backup option in the sub menu.
  • After you have successfully backed up your iOS device, disconnect the device, download the updated version of Infinity Blade, re-connect, and re-sync the device from iTunes

If the game crashes or you get stuck:

  • Plug the iOS device into your computer.
  • Open up iTunes and right click your iOS device to open up the device sub menu.
  • Select Restore from the backup option.
  • Re-start the game - you will be at the place in the game where you last backed up your device.

I just started Infinity Blade II for the first time and I do not hear the weapon sounds.

This can be corrected with a manual restart of the game. Double tap the home button, and you will see a scrolling list of applications that are running in the background on your device. Hold down one of them and you’ll see a red X next to each that will allow you to shut down any of the applications still running. Find the Infinity Blade II icon, then close the game and restart. Your sound should be restored. It’s HIGHLY recommended you update your Device to the latest iOS version (operating system) for best results.

How do I get to New Game+?

After you have beaten the single player campaign, pause the game and go to Options> Character Slots and there will be a New Game+ option below your active save slot. You can only select this option once per save slot, so you will probably want to select it when you’re satisfied with the stats you have gained from the original game.
